Meet Daniela Fleischmajer - CMO @ Kyndryl

Daniela Fleischmajer is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Kyndryl, the world’s largest IT infrastructure service provider. Born and raised in Argentina, Daniela began her career at IBM while still in college.

Over 20 years, she transitioned from sales to marketing, driven by a desire to improve the value marketing brings to clients. When IBM spun off its infrastructure services division in 2021, Daniela moved to the newly formed Kyndryl.

At Kyndryl, Daniela leads marketing efforts for a company serving enterprise customers in over 60 countries. She emphasizes relationship selling and industry-specific strategies to address client pain points.

A former CFO, Daniela brings a unique perspective to marketing metrics, focusing on business outcomes rather than traditional attribution models. She is also a strong advocate for leadership that prioritizes helping others grow and succeed.

When it comes to how companies should approach their go-to-market strategy, Daniela shares:

"We decided, especially in the US, that our go-to-market strategy would be industry-based because we believe it’s essential to understand our clients' pain points."

She also shares the key to effective B2B marketing:

"We sell services, not products. We're in a relationship-based selling mode. So, part of our go-to-market approach is about building relationships from which we can sell."

And an effective way to create valuable content for customers:

"We’ve found that the most valuable content we can create is thought leadership, as clients want to hear from experts about what’s happening in their industry."
