Meet Gaurav Deshpande - Chief Marketing Officer @ Hypertrack

Gaurav Deshpande is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at HyperTrack, a live location platform in the cloud offering developer tools for mobile application developers in companies of all sizes worldwide.

Gaurav’s journey to becoming a CMO is an unconventional one. In his words, “I am not a marketer. I am an engineer who learned marketing along the way.” Still, Gaurav’s track record speaks volumes of his success as a marketer and as a business leader.

With over 25 years in the tech industry, Gaurav has innovatively addressed business needs and real-world problems through his background in engineering and leadership experience. 

He has built startups, namely—i2 Technologies, Trigo Technologies,  and TigerGraph,  that all eventually grew into business juggernauts, disrupted their markets, and created massive value for customers, investors, and employees. 

At HyperTrack, Gaurav leads the company’s marketing efforts in building blocks for workforce and logistics tech builders automating on-demand jobs and workforce.

As CMO, he is dedicated to empowering businesses with cutting-edge solutions and driving the company’s mission of accelerating workforce productivity with cutting-edge location intelligent technology.

When it comes to creating engagement using marketing, Gaurav shares:

"This is at the epicentre of marketing. There is no cookie cutter way to create engagement, it is trial and error. Great marketers fail a lot. We A/B test even the greatest campaign because it can be the smallest thing that drives that extra 1%."

He also shares about how to keep your brand fresh over time:

"Be relevant to the consumer at all times. If you understand what the consumer needs you'll always appear fresh. When you communicate a message that is targeted and relevant you'll get an engaged consumer that identifies with your brand."
