Jim Bramlett is an author, CEO, and Vistage Chair at Vistage Worldwide, the world’s most trusted CEO coaching and peer advisory organization. Previously, Jim led his own company as CEO, giving him valuable hands-on leadership experience.

In his current role, Jim facilitates groups of CEOs, helping them work through challenges and grow both personally and professionally. This transition has broadened his perspective beyond a single company to encompass the issues facing many business leaders.

Jim is passionate about helping leaders understand generational differences in the workforce and align their company’s “why” with individual employee purposes. He draws inspiration from books like “The Everything Store” about Jeff Bezos and Amazon.

As an experienced executive, Jim advocates for leaders to work collaboratively with trusted peers rather than going it alone. His advice to emerging leaders is to be curious, humble, and vulnerable in seeking input from others.

When it comes to aligning company purpose with employees, Jim shares:

"Understanding the company's why, the company's vision, and then translating that to every individual in the company and what their individual purpose is that contributes to the why of the company."

He also shares what leaders should pay attention to in managing diverse teams:

"There's a big difference in the various generations that leaders have to manage. You have gen x, gen z, millennials, baby boomers. And I think they all have very different characteristics."

And advice for leaders in their early career

"If you wanna go fast, go alone. If you wanna go far, go together. I believe working with peers, having somebody you trust that you can vent to, get suggestions from, is extremely important."
