What you'll discover
when watching Martijn's story
- Choosing the right company and team to work with is just as important as the industry or product you work on.
- Knowing your strengths and weaknesses as a marketer helps you make career decisions and opportunities to pursue.
- A go-to-market strategy should evolve as a company matures, starting with core channels and expanding to diversify audiences and funnel stages.
- Marketing channels should be chosen selectively based on customer intent, with different approaches for the upper and lower funnel stages.
- Marketing content should address different customer needs at various funnel stages from initial trip inspiration to overcoming entry barriers.
- Building a strong brand is essential, especially in fragmented and competitive markets, as it helps companies stand out and diversify their marketing efforts.
- While metrics are important, not everything can be measured, and creativity should be allowed, but core metrics like profit and new customer acquisition are critical for the business.
